Al-Abed continued, “The design of the stadium where the World Cup final will take place also mimics the lighthouse, which was used in the past to guide ships, through the emission of light from its ports, as the openings in the stadium’s exterior facade help to overlap light and shade, which helps in lighting the stadium after sunset hours, as if A huge beacon guides fans from all over the world to its site, invites them to visit it, and welcomes them to its seats.

“The chief architect of Lusail Stadium, Norman Foster, was keen on studying hand-carved Arab and Islamic artefacts, and focused on a design that combines the pot and the lighthouse, merging the two ideas, which resulted in the current design of the stadium, with its lovely golden facade,” Al-Abed continued in statements to (Qatar2022. qa). the arc you notice as you get closer to the stadium.

Regarding the legacy that the stadium will leave after the Qatar 2022 World Cup is over, Al-Abed stated that a number of concepts are currently being researched to make use of the interior spaces in the stadium after the event for the benefit of society and the state, such as converting it into a community destination that includes housing units at discounted rents.

Additionally, it will be maintained as a sports facility ready to accommodate any future sports projects in the nation while also housing businesses, schools, cafes, sports facilities, and medical clinics.
The stadium’s upper tier of spectator seats will be transformed into exterior balconies for brand-new dwelling units, and those elements will be donated to nations without adequate sporting facilities.

When compared to conventional stadium construction projects, the stadium construction operations were successful in conserving 40% of pure water thanks to the adoption of high-efficiency water leak detection technologies.
