White House: No indications that Russia intends to use nuclear weapons

Despite the “rattle of nuclear swords” by Russian President Vladimir Putin, the United States has stated that it has no sign that Russia is about to deploy nuclear weapons.
Today, Tuesday, Karen Jean-Pierre, the press secretary for the White House, stated that her nation takes the matter of nuclear weapons or the rattling of nuclear swords extremely seriously.

“We see no cause to adjust our strategic nuclear posture,” she continued, “and we have no sign that Russia is getting ready to deploy nuclear weapons anytime soon.”
The US declarations came hours after Konstantin Vorontsov, the deputy director of arms control and nuclear proliferation affairs in the Russian foreign ministry, verified that Moscow is committed to the leaders’ declaration that starting a nuclear war is not permissible.

The Russian official went on to say that Moscow views maintaining the five nuclear powers’ commitment to the impossibility of any war between nuclear-armed nations as the most crucial objective.
He added that the nuclear power executives’ joint declaration from January of last year had confirmed this.
“Russia is totally committed to this,” he emphasised.

According to a report in the British newspaper The Times published on Monday, “This came after NATO members warned that Russian President Vladimir Putin would conduct a nuclear test on Ukraine’s border. Moscow had also transported a train thought to be connected to a defence ministry division in charge of nuclear munitions.
Putin announced on September 21 the first call-up of the nation’s reservists since World War II in order to send more troops to the front lines in Ukraine.

When the West intimated that it was prepared to use nuclear weapons to defend the security of Russian territory, it was cautioned that it was not acting dishonestly. This sparked a wave of warnings that is still going on today.
According to the Federation of American Scientists, Russia has 5,977 nuclear warheads, compared to the United States’ 5,428. This makes Russia the largest nuclear power in the world.

No signs exist that Russia plans to use nuclear weapons, according to the White House
