Tehran confirms that there is still opportunity to revive the nuclear agreement

Nasser Kanaani, a spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, claimed that there is still time to save the nuclear deal and that a deal may be struck provided Washington has the required political will.

According to Russia Today, in his weekly press conference, Kanaani emphasised that “the exchange of messages in the nuclear negotiations continues through the European mediator and some mediators, including the foreign ministers of some neighbouring countries,” noting that “the meeting of the United Nations General Assembly in New York was also an appropriate opportunity, during which some messages were exchanged. between Iran and the United States.”

We are determined to get to a lasting, good, and powerful deal that protects our interests, he emphasised.
Asserting that “the opportunity is still available to revive the agreement, and if the United States has the necessary political will, we can reach an agreement,” Kanaani said, “We are still exchanging messages, and we welcome the efforts of countries, especially neighbouring countries, to mediate in this file.”

Tehran affirms that there is still time for the nuclear accord to be revived.
