In numbers.. Al-Ahly does not know defeat with Sikazwi before facing Al-Ittihad of Monastir

On October 9 in Tunisia, Al-Ahly will play Union of Monastir in the African Champions League. Red Castle officials are wrapping up preparations for the game, which will serve as the Red Genie’s inaugural game of the new season.
The match will be officiated by Zambian referee Gianni Sikazwe with assistance from Angolan Gerson Dos Santos, Mozambican Arsenio Shadrikiou, and Zambian fourth official Ayodrik Nicoli, according to the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

Sikazwi previously coached Al-Ahly in seven games, winning five of them, drawing two, and going undefeated with the Zambian referee. This will be his first participation in Monastir Union games.
The first game was a 1-1 tie between Al-Ahly and Cameroonian Cotton in the 2013 CAF Champions League semifinals.
Second game: He oversaw the Red Genie’s 2-1 Confederation Cup semifinal victory against Al-Ahly against Cameroonian cotton.

Third game: Al-preliminary Ahly’s round 2015 CAF Champions League matchup against the Rwandan National Army Club resulted with a clear double victory for the Red Genie.
Fourth match: Al-Ahly and Moroccan Wydad, which resulted in Al-Ahmar winning 2/0 and advancing to the semi-finals of Africa 2020.
Fifth game: In the first round of the group stage of the African Champions League’s previous iteration, Al-Merreikh played Sudan. Al-Ahmar won with three goals.

Sixth game: Al-Ahly and Sun Downs met in the second leg of the quarterfinals last season in South Africa, which resulted in a 1-1 tie.
Seventh game: In their last meeting at Al-Salam Stadium in the second round of the group stage of the African Champions League, Al-Ahly defeated Al-Hilal of Sudan 2-1.
