According to Mehr News Agency, the most prestigious scientific university in Iran has suspended attendance amid violent encounters between students and security personnel on Sunday evening in Tehran.
Given recent events and the necessity to protect students, the Sharif University of Technology stated that all classes would be held virtually starting on Monday, according to the news source.

Over two weeks after the start of the most recent round of public protests, Iran’s volcano of rage erupted once more under the banner “Women, Life, and Freedom.” Senior Iranian officials presented a “conspiracy theory” yesterday in response to the anti-march campaign, and the government erected a security perimeter around the campuses where the event took place.
For the second day in a row, it turned into the focal point of the protest movement’s circle.

The largest demonstrations in years were called for to seek the ouster of the governing elite after they broke out in the Iranian region of Kurdistan in northwest Iran.

Despite the rising death toll and ferocious repression by the security forces, who use tear gas, batons, and in some cases live ammunition, thousands of students in Iranian universities took to the university’s courtyards and perimeters to chant slogans opposing the ruling establishment, particularly Iranian President Ali Khamenei, and calling for the release of detainees.

Tehran, Yazd, Mashhad, Kashan, Kerman, Kurdistan, Shiraz, Najafabad, Kermanshah, and Sari were among the cities that saw demonstrations. Up until late Monday, clashes between police and protesters were seen in more than 20 Iranian cities.
The gatherings at Tehran University were recognised by the Revolutionary Guards’ Fars Agency. She stated that despite the students’ abrasive political and cultural chants, nobody was ever exposed to public monies inside the universities.

In banks today, Monday, October 3, 2022, dollar prices are unchanged.
