Saudi Arabia: Loans granted by banks increased by 15%

At the end of last August, loans made by Saudi Arabian banks to governmental organisations and the country’s private sector had climbed by 15% to 2359 billion riyals.
According to the Saudi Central Bank’s (Sama) monthly bulletin, which was released today, Sunday, loans from Saudi banks and other financial institutions to non-financial government agencies and the private sector increased by 15% at the end of the month prior to last, to reach 2359 billion riyals, up from 2049 billion riyals during the same period.

By the end of the previous month, loans made by Saudi banks and banks to the private sector had climbed to 2241 billion riyals, up 15% over the same time in 2021.
At the end of the previous month, loans given to non-financial government organisations totaled roughly 117.1 billion riyals, an increase of 26% from the same period in 2021.

Bank loans increased by 15% in Saudi Arabia.
