Messi’s trips in his own plane put gases into the atmosphere similar to what the average French resident would emit in 150 years, according to a report by Sky News Arabia citing the French publication L’Equipe.
The list of trips made by Messi comprised five between Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Miami, three between Montevideo, Uruguay, and Miami, Florida, as well as one between Sao Paulo, Brazil, and New York, USA.

Throughout the French Ligue 1 season, Messi flew seven times to or from Barcelona, as well as to and from Brazil and Paris Saint-Germain.
The excursions also included visits to Figari, Nice, Bilbao, and Tenerife.
The announcement comes amid increased calls to take better care of the environment and climate change warnings.
