Al-Sager: Kuwaitis will support agricultural investment… and the food and pharmaceutical industry in Egypt if its opportunities increase

The doors of all Egyptian officials are open to Kuwaiti investors, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi emphasised, while reiterating the depth of Egypt and Kuwait’s historical and contemporary relations.

Al-Rai was informed by reliable sources that during his meeting with the high-level Kuwaiti economic delegation, which included 46 representatives from the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry, unions, businesses, and government agencies, Sisi attracted attention. This meeting took place in the presence of the prime minister Mostafa Madbouly and the minister of commerce and industry, Eng.

All of Egypt’s economic sectors are solid, and their statistics show continual progress, according to Ahmed Samir Saleh and Ghanem Saqr Al-Ghanim, Kuwait’s ambassador to Cairo and permanent representative to the Arab League.
Despite all the geopolitical issues the world is facing, President Sisi stated that Egyptian citizens do not lack any food supplies.

In his speech at the meeting, Muhammad Al-Sager, the president of the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry, emphasised for the Kuwaiti delegation that Egypt should concentrate right now on expanding agricultural opportunities and developing the food industry in addition to the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in light of the Corona pandemic’s effects.

Due to their significance to the world’s people, there is a strong need to enhance investment in these industries.

Al-Sager noted in his speech that this will be matched by Kuwaiti investment support for this kind of investment, emphasising that the Kuwaiti investor does not demand additional investment benefits but rather treats him the same as the Egyptian investor and works in a transparent, fair, and attractive investment environment, achieving stability of laws, and the ensuing rights them, as well as developing laws.

Al-Sager: If Egypt’s chances improve, Kuwaitis will support agricultural investment as well as the country’s food and pharmaceutical industries.
