Urgent.. Increasing the price of a bottle of ration oil and 7 other goods

The Ministry of Supply’s ongoing efforts to safeguard the nation’s stocks of strategic commodities in light of a global food crisis led to an increase in the prices of supply commodities for the month of October 2022 of 8 out of a total of 30 commodities. The most notable of these was oil, a bottle of 800 ml, which saw an increase of about two pounds per package.

Given that all commodities experienced price increases, particularly those on which Egyptians rely heavily for their meals, a supply source attributed the rise in the prices of these commodities to the global level, which is experiencing a boil in food commodity prices as a result of inflation and the global crisis.

Oil was distributed in 800 ml cans, and was included on the “Al-Fajr”-monitored list of high-priced food items within the October ration card determinations at a cost of 25 pounds as opposed to 23 pounds, along with vinegar, lentils, soap, and other items:
The General Authority for Supply Commodities, speaking on behalf of the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade, declared a restricted exercise No.

5 of 2022/2023 to provide homegrown crude oil in pounds for the Holding Company for Food Industries.
The catering said today that it needs (3,000 tonnes of soybean oil and 1,000 tonnes of sunflower oil), to be supplied between December 1 and December 15, 2022.

The announcement further stated that the opening session for the envelopes will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, and that the remaining terms and conditions are in line with the booklet of terms and conditions available at the Supply Commodities Authority.

It is urgent. A bottle of ration oil and seven other items will now cost more.
