Gallagher gives Chelsea a tough win against Palace

Chelsea defeated Crystal Palace, who was on loan last season, 2-1 on Saturday, earning their first Premier League victory under coach Graham Potter thanks to a last-second goal from Conor Gallagher.
After receiving a pass from fellow substitute Christian Pulisic, Gallagher, who had been positively applauded by the crowd during warm-ups, cleared the ball for himself before firing a powerful effort beyond Vicente Guaita.

Prior to that, Odson Edward provided Palace a goal in the seventh minute, but Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang equalised for Chelsea in the 38th minute by utilising a header from Thiago Silva.

Silva was only given a yellow card for obstructing Jordan Ayew from pushing toward goal following a handball minutes before the Brazilian defender equalised for Aubameyang, and Potter’s team complained. However, they do have a game remaining.
