Denmark postpones shutdown of three fossil fuel plants due to energy crisis

Due to the energy crisis, Denmark plans to push up the complete shutdown of three fossil fuel power facilities until the summer of 2024.
The action, according to the Danish Ministry of Energy and Climate, is intended to guarantee energy security in the nation throughout the course of the following two winters.
The stations, according to the government, are powered by gas, oil, coal, or biomass and will be available as a backup in case there is not enough electricity available throughout the winter.

The ministry added that nothing about Denmark’s climate targets will change as a result of this delay.
Two stations have already been withdrawn from the network, according to radio station DR, and a third is anticipated to do the same next spring.
Europe is currently experiencing an energy crisis due to Russia’s conflict with Ukraine.
