After Lyman’s Setback, Kadyrov to Russia “Used Nuclear”

Ramzan Kadyrov, the head of Chechnya and a fervent supporter of Russian President Vladimir Putin, made some contentious comments in which he pushed Putin to use “light” nuclear weapons in retaliation to the Russian forces’ defeat in Lyman, a significant town in the Donetsk region of eastern Ukraine.
Kadyrov urged Moscow to seriously consider using a tactical nuclear weapon on Ukraine in a message on his “Telegram” account.

The guy whose forces are fighting alongside Russian forces in eastern Ukraine criticised the departure of Russian forces from Lyman, saying: “In my personal opinion, greater actions should be done, even martial law and the use of low-yield nuclear weapons in the border areas.”
This happened after the Russian army earlier today declared their “withdrawal” from Lyman, a key railroad intersection in eastern Ukraine.

According to a statement from the Russian Defense Ministry, the coalition forces withdrew from Lyman to better positions after threatening to encircle after the Ukrainians acknowledged that they had “entered” the important town and trapped thousands of soldiers.

It is interesting that the Chechen leader fired criticism at the Russian army a few weeks ago after the latter was taken aback by Kyiv’s counter-campaign in the country’s northeast and south last August, which forced the Russians to evacuate from a number of cities.

In response to his request for the Russian high command to closely examine what was occurring on the ground, the Kremlin indirectly responded by reiterating that Russian President Vladimir Putin is actively monitoring the situation.
