NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg criticised Russia’s “illegal and illegitimate” annexation of four areas in Ukraine on Friday, emphasising that the allies will never accept these territories as being a part of Russia.
After President Vladimir Putin formally signed the annexation of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions (east), Zaporizhia, and Kherson, Stoltenberg stated at a news conference, “Ukraine has the right to recover these occupied territory by force, and we will help it to continue liberating these lands” (south).
