Italy today without Russian gas

The Russian business “Gazprom” informed the Italian energy company Eni that it would not be able to supply it with the necessary volumes of gas on October 1 because it would be unable to transit through Austria.
The Italian company issued the following statement: “Gazprom has told us that it is unable to confirm and supply the gas volumes needed today due to the declaration that gas transportation through Austria is not possible.

As a result, there will be no flow of Russian gas toward Eni through the Tarvisio gate.
In the event that supplies are restarted, the firm (Eni) will make any fresh announcements, according to the statement.
