Blinken describes Putin’s accusations of Western sabotage in Nord Stream as “blatant disinformation”

Russian President Vladimir Putin accused the West of being responsible for the explosions on the Nord Stream gas pipelines on Friday, but US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken denied this claim on Friday, calling it “flagrant falsehood.”
Blinken said at a news conference, “I have nothing to say about President Putin’s ridiculous assertions that we or our allies are in any way accountable for this.

Although Blinken claimed that it was unknown who was responsible for the gas leaks from the Nord Stream 1 and 2 pipelines, Western nations believed that it was the consequence of sabotage.
He continued, “We will discover the reality of what took place. I don’t want to halt the inquiry, but we will let you know when we get this information.
Blinken stated that he was in “close touch” about what transpired with his Danish and Swedish counterparts.
