Blinken assures the UN envoy to Yemen the firm commitment of the United States to peace efforts there

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken reaffirmed Washington’s unwavering dedication to Yemeni peace efforts.
The United Nations representative to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, and US Secretary of State Robert Blinken spoke on the phone about this on Friday, according to US State Department spokesman Ned Price. The US Secretary also expressed support for a long-term resolution to the conflict that would allow Yemenis to decide their future through a thorough political process led by Yemenis.

It satisfies citizens’ desires for accountability and fairness.
Blinken also stated that Washington supports the efforts being made by the international envoy to prolong and broaden the UN-brokered cease-fire in Yemen, which ends on October 2.
