An envelope carrying a suspicious white powder was discovered in the European Commission office in Brussels, according to the Belgian news agency (BELGA), which prompted an emergency action.
According to Walter Derieux, a spokesman for the Brussels fire service, only one individual grabbed the letter, and he displayed no signs of illness.
A civil protection section is currently reviewing the material, Derio stated.
