Russian Defense: HIMARS battery neutralized and two Ukrainian planes shot down

Russian forces destroyed the HIMARS launcher battery, struck the M777 howitzer battery produced in the US, and downed two MiG-24 and MiG-29 aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force.
The Russian Ministry of Defense made this announcement on Thursday, September 29, as part of its daily update on progress.

Igor Konashenkov, the ministry’s spokesperson, read out the statement. He went on to say that the Russian Armed Forces are still engaged in a special military operation in Ukraine and that they have bombed the “Foreign Legion” of foreign mercenary units near the village of “Nikolaevka” in the Donetsk People’s Republic and neutralised up to 80 of their armed members.

Additionally, a firing at the temporary deployment location of the 2nd battalion of the 92nd Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces close to the city of Kobyansk in the Kharkov region resulted in the neutralisation of more than 70 Ukrainian servicemen and 14 pieces of military equipment.

Six command posts of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were also hit during the past 24 hours by strikes made by operational and tactical aviation, missile forces, and artillery, including the command posts of the 53rd Mechanized Brigade near the village of “Yelizavetovka” in the Donetsk People’s Republic and the brigade Mechanic No.

14, in addition to 87 units and centres of concentration of military people and gear in 198 districts, are located near the village of “Dvorechnaya” in the Kharkov region.
The US HIMARS battery was destroyed during the anti-missile combat in the Pavlograd village of the Dnipropetrovsk area, and the US M777 howitzer battery was also hit close to the village of “Gulyaipule” in the Zaporozhye region.

In the Donetsk People’s Republic settlement of Yevgenovka, a platoon of large-caliber Gyatsent cannons was destroyed by artillery fire.
The villages of “Kolomtsevo” in the Dnipropetrovsk region, “Shevchenkovo” in the Nikolaev region, “Legino” in the Zaporozhye region, as well as “Kramotorsk” and “Malinovka” in the Donetsk People’s Republic, also saw the destruction of nine ammunition, missile, and artillery depots.

In the Nikolaev region, a radar station for the Ukrainian S-300 anti-aircraft missile group was also destroyed.
A Ukrainian MiG-29 fighter and a Russian Su-24 aircraft were both shot down by the Russian Aerospace Forces in the vicinity of Kurakhovo and Kaluga, respectively, in the Donetsk People’s Republic.

Additionally, eight drones were destroyed by the air defence systems in the villages of “Alexandrovka” in the Nikolaev region, “Proskinskoye”, “Rayskoye”, and “Sadok” in the Kherson region, “Yasinivka” in the Lugansk People’s Republic, and “Pavlovka” and “Petrovskoye” in the Donetsk People’s Republic.
Additionally, 17 US HIMARS launchers as well as a US anti-radar Harm missile were shot down in the skies near the Kherson region’s “Novaya Kakhovka” town and the capital city of Kherson.
