Russia advises caution in speculating that it may resort to nuclear weapons

According to Dmitry Peskov, a spokesman for the Kremlin, rumours that Russia would use nuclear weapons in the conflict over its annexations in Ukraine merely serve to incite terror.
People who discuss nuclear escalation are acting quite foolishly, according to Peskov.
It has been rumoured that Russia will deploy nuclear weapons in response to the territorial annexations because Moscow has already declared that it will protect its territories by any means necessary.

According to Peskov, Russia’s military policy only permits the use of nuclear energy if “Russia’s existence” is in threat. He added that “using the proper language is very crucial.”
Notably, Russian President Vladimir Putin declared that the “deterrence force,” which includes a nuclear component, is on alert after the invasion of Ukraine.
Biden issued a grim warning earlier this month in the event that Russia utilised chemical or nuclear weapons in Ukraine.

Russia cautions against making assumptions that it will use nuclear weapons.
