In an effort to combat the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic outbreak, the Moroccan Council of Government voted to prolong the validity of the state of health emergency throughout Morocco from September 30 to October 31.

According to Minister Mustapha Baitas, the official spokesman for the Moroccan government, the Council of Government approved the draught decision to extend the duration of the state of health emergency across all of Morocco in order to deal with the Corona-Covid 19 virus outbreak. The draught decision was presented by Interior Minister Abdelouafi Laftit.
