Here’s what’s open in Regina and Saskatoon on the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

Sept. 30 will mark the second National Day for Truth and Reconciliation across Canada, and while it is a federal holiday, each province has been left to determine the holiday status.
The government of Saskatchewan is recognizing Sept. 30 as the Day for Truth and Reconciliation, but it is not considered a holiday.

While some Saskatoon and Regina businesses and services have chosen to close their doors on this day to honour Indigenous people in the province, others will remain open.
On September 30 in Saskatchewan, the following city services and businesses will be open and closed:

Additionally, on September 30th, none of the parking metres in Regina will be in operation.

For the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation on Friday, all schools throughout the province will be closed. .
