After receiving a top-secret briefing from the US government, Menendez explained that if Russian President Vladimir Putin uses nuclear weapons against Ukraine, the situation might turn against him and the winds could deliver radiation to his nation!
He emphasised that it is improbable that Russia will deploy nuclear weapons, but he also said that the US military has a strategy to deal with such a contingency.
According to local media, he also emphasised the necessity to maintain pressure on Moscow through sanctions in order to rob it of income to support its military operations in Ukraine in a speech he gave yesterday during a session of the Senate Foreign Affairs Committee.
