In order to provide satellite imagery capabilities across the nation, the Albanian government and a US satellite corporation have agreed to purchase two satellites for $6 million.
The two satellites, according to Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, would raise the level of law enforcement in his nation in the western Balkans, enabling it to better combat corruption and improve the rule of law.
Rama stated that in order to combat terrorism or a possible opponent, the government is also soon going to purchase armed drones (as he put it). .
