30 marches and 70 missiles..Iran renews bombing of Erbil

News from Al-Madina After yesterday’s assaults on the Kurdistan region in northern Iraq left 13 people dead and numerous others injured, Iran continues to fire missiles towards the area.
Additionally, Iranian artillery resumed shelling Sidekan’s border regions to the north of Erbil.
The US Consulate in Erbil responded by announcing that it was still hearing reports of ongoing Iranian assaults. According to “Al Arabiya,” she also stated in a statement that she was unable to certify the conclusion of the Iranian attacks.

This comes after it was claimed by the official Iraqi News Agency yesterday that 13 people were murdered and 58 others, including women and children, were injured in the Iranian bombing.
70 projectiles and 20 marches
The strikes, which were carried out by “twenty drones carrying explosive explosives” and affected “four locations in Kurdistan,” according to Baghdad, were denounced by both the federal administration and the Kurdistan government.

Meanwhile, Tehran launched “more than 70 ballistic missiles and unmanned aircraft launchers in four stages,” according to a statement from the Kurdistan Counter-Terrorism Service.
In contrast, the US Central Command for the Middle East declared yesterday afternoon that it had shot down an Iranian drone “which was going towards Erbil, as it appeared to represent a danger to the US forces in the region.”

Despite a recent drop in their military activity, Iranian Kurdish opposition parties and organisations have historically waged armed rebellions against the Iranian regime. It is noteworthy that Iran frequently strikes several areas in northern Iraq where they are situated.

These organisations continue to be extremely critical of the circumstances in Iran, though, and they recently posted videos of the protests that have taken place there and are still going on today ever since Mahsa Amini, a young woman, died on September 16 after being detained by the so-called morality police, on social media.

Iran resumes pounding Erbil with 30 marches and 70 missiles.
