The Kremlin: There are no plans for Putin to meet with the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency

Vladimir Putin of Russia has no intentions to meet with Rafael Grossi, the director-general of the International Atomic Energy Agency, according to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov on Wednesday.
According to Peskov, the Russian Foreign Ministry is organising Grossi’s trip to Russia, according to the Russian “TASS” news agency.

The International Atomic Energy Agency’s director general announced on Tuesday his desire to travel to Russia and Ukraine this week in order to continue discussions on the situation at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant.
In answer to a question regarding the visit, Grossi stated outside of the 66th General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency: “It will be very soon, and we hope that the visit will be this week.

The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency commented on the negotiations’ status about the creation of a safe zone surrounding the Zaporozhye nuclear complex, saying, “I think we are making progress.
In this connection, a spokesman for the Russian presidency stated that talks with the presidents of “Donetsk” and “Luhansk” are not currently on Russian President Vladimir Putin’s agenda but added that they will take place soon.

Peskov noted that these meetings will take place and that the timeline is still being created, adding, “We will notify you to include these meetings on the agenda, if this is possible.”
The Ukrainian onslaught on the Krasnyi Lyman axis in northern Donetsk was halted, and the Ukrainian forces there suffered more than 70 fatalities, according to a statement from the Russian Defense Ministry released today, Wednesday.

In another context, Igor Konashenkov, the Russian Defense Spokesman, claimed that intense strikes in the Kharkov region killed more than 150 Ukrainian soldiers. He also noted that “more than 90 militants were eliminated by a strike launched by Russian forces on a temporary deployment point for the Ukrainian army and foreign mercenaries” close to Nikolaev.

According to Konashenkov, the Russian troops launched an airstrike in the Zaporozhye region that resulted in the deaths of over 100 members of the Ukrainian 56th Brigade and destroyed the production facilities for the armoured plant near Kharkov city.

He continued by saying that the missile strikes led to the devastation of a radar station for the “S-300” air defence system in the Nikolaev region as well as the loss of 10 cannons, including two American M777 guns, in an attack on an equipment repair workshop at a plant in Zaporozhye.
A Ukrainian Su-24 aircraft was shot down near Kharkov, along with five drones, two Tochka-O ballistic missiles, and seven HIMARS and Olkha launchers, according to Konashenkov.

The ministry additionally disclosed the devastation of many Ukrainian military installations in an abandoned woodland in the city of Kiev.
Denis Pushilin, the president of the Donetsk region, responded by reiterating Donbass’ commitment to completing the liberation of all republican regions in eastern Ukraine.

Pushilin told the “Russia Today” news channel in an exclusive statement today that “Donbass has confirmed information that there are foreign trainers on the battlefronts against Kiev, whose role goes beyond training tasks to the command of the special military operation in Donetsk,” highlighting the fact that the military operation in Ukraine will enter a new phase after Donbass formally joins Russia.

In a different context, today, Wednesday, Russian-speaking media claimed that the US Embassy in Moscow encouraged its nationals to leave Russian territory immediately if they were there for whatever reason, as there was no chance of later assisting them.
According to these media, the US Embassy also requested that US citizens refrain from travelling to Russia.

Putin is not scheduled to meet with the director of the International Atomic Energy Agency, according to the Kremlin.
