Russia: Armed forces destroy Ukrainian “S-300” radar in Nikolaev region

Igor Konashenkov, a spokesman for the Russian Defense Ministry, claimed today, Wednesday, that as part of a special military operation, the Russian army had damaged the Ukrainian S-300 anti-aircraft missile system’s targeting radar in the Nikolaev region.
According to Konashenkov and the Russian TASS news agency, “a Ukrainian multi-purpose radar station of the S-300 anti-aircraft missile system was destroyed near the Vysuloi residential complex in the Nikolaev district.”

The Donetsk People’s Republic, Novonikolaevka, and Gulyipol in the Kharkov region of the Zaporozhye region, as well as 75 artillery units and troops, were all targeted in the strikes, according to the Russian defence spokesman. The strikes also destroyed five Ukrainian command posts close to residential areas in Primoja in the Kharkov region, Slavyansk, and Bogdanovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic, and Prim 167 counties’ worth of military hardware and personnel.

In addition, he said, the Russian forces were able to obliterate four Ukrainian ammunition, artillery, and shell dumps in the Kobyansk and Kramatorsk regions of Kharkov, Donetsk People’s Republic, Dnepropetrovsk, Kolometsevo, and Prilemanskoye, respectively.

In response to a request for aid from the leaders of the Donbass republics, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the beginning of a special military operation in Ukraine on February 24.
In response, the United States and its allies imposed harsh sanctions and expanded their shipments of armaments to Ukraine. Putin emphasised that Moscow had no aspirations to invade Ukrainian land but instead aspired for disarmament.
