Real Madrid misses Modric 10 days with injury and determines his position on El Clasico

The Croatian star Luka Modric, a midfielder for Real Madrid, reportedly suffered a muscular injury this week while competing for his nation in European Nations League matches, according to the Spanish publication “Marca.”
The tabloid also reported that Modric had returned to Real Madrid with a muscular issue that would prevent him from playing for seven to ten days.

The tabloid made the point that the Croatian star’s ailment won’t hinder him from competing in the Clasico, set for next October 16 in the ninth round of the Spanish League, against archrival Barcelona.
In addition to the Champions League encounter against Shakhtar of Ukraine, the newspaper noted that Modric will not play for Real Madrid against Osasuna and Getafe in the League.

In Croatia’s 3-1 victory over Austria, Modric scored a goal to help his team advance to the European Nations League semi-finals, which will take place in June.
Real Madrid currently holds the top spot in the Spanish league standings with 18 points after participating in all six of the league’s games.

With Modric out for ten days due to injury, Real Madrid decides where he will play in the El Clasico.
