Former German Chancellor Angela Merkel emphasised the importance of taking seriously Vladimir Putin’s claims that Russia will employ all available methods to protect itself.
During the inauguration of the former German Chancellor Helmut Kohl Foundation, Merkel said in press statements that “Putin’s words must be taken seriously and not dismissed as a joke, and dealing with them seriously is in no way a sign of weakness.”
