Russian Defense: 3 fighter jets were shot down and 100 Ukrainian soldiers were killed

A Ukrainian MiG-29 fighter fitted with American anti-radar missiles HARM was shot down in the Dnipropetrovsk area, while two Su-25 assault planes were shot down in the Kherson area, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.

More than 100 Ukrainian soldiers, 14 armoured units, and cars were destroyed when a high-precision weapon from the Russian Aerospace Forces struck the temporary deployment place of the covert tactical group of the 95th Airborne Attack Brigade in the hamlet of Slavyansk Donetsk.

In addition, the Russian Defense Ministry said that despite the presence of IAEA officials at the nuclear power facility in Zaporozhye, Ukrainian landing forces attempted to retake control of it at night in a statement that was carried by the television channel (Russia Today).
Around 11 p.m.

Over 250 Ukrainian special operations forces personnel and foreign mercenaries attempted to arrive on the Kakhovka coast in Zaporozhye at around noon Moscow time in two sets of boats totaling 42 units, according to the statement.

According to the statement, during the militants’ unsuccessful attempts to seize control of the Zaporozhye power plant, the Russian Air Force targeted the infiltrating Ukrainian armed groups, destroyed 20 boats, killed 47 militants, including 10 international mercenaries, and injured 23 others.
On the other side, Dmitry Medvedev, the deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council, emphasised that Russia’s nuclear weapons is the best protection against extinction.

I left the entire strategic nuclear armament in this country, and we have kept it at a very high level. This is the best guarantee for sustaining Russia’s power, Medvedev remarked in reference to the sizable Soviet nuclear weapons that remained in Russia following the fall of the Soviet Union.
Medvedev emphasised that our tiny planet may suffer immediate and severe consequences if nuclear weapons were distributed among the newly established post-Soviet governments.

He pointed out the dangerous Western practise of articulating thoughts that would destabilise Russia.
