Apple: Settlement of an out-of-court case with an app developer

According to court records, Apple has reached an out-of-court settlement with a software developer over App Store ratings, deletion from the App Store, and fraud.
The action was brought in March 2021 at the California Supreme Court by the programme developer, Costa Eleftherio, claiming the firm of illegally removing his application from the App Store, and fraudsters later targeted the application, resulting in a fall in sales.

According to the lawsuit, Apple deleted the Apple Watch’s keyboard app, FlickType, and then authorised other keyboard-related applications that mimicked its application technology for publication in the App Store.
According to Eleftherio, Apple’s action appears to contradict what it claims about FlickType’s bad service.
Users later picked higher-rated competitors when the app was reinstated on the App Store, substantially reducing FlickTypes income.
