Moscow will not isolate itself .. Lavrov responds to restricting the granting of European visas to Russian citizens

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that the West has openly launched a hybrid war against Russia in Ukraine, emphasising that no one has succeeded in weakening Russia in the past.
In a lecture to students at the Moscow Institute of International Relations today, Thursday, Lavrov stated that the West had engaged in frenzy and was attempting to compensate for its incapacity to handle events on the basis of mutual respect with unprecedented aggressiveness.

He emphasised that the West does not communicate with Russian ambassadors.
He made it plain that he did not feel Russia should reciprocate the European Union’s actions of banning visas for Russian citizens and punishing European citizens.
Lavrov called European lawmakers who seek to restrict visas for Russians “pathetic,” and vowed that Moscow will not be alone.

Lavrov also addressed Finland and Sweden’s entrance to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), emphasising that if alliance bases arose there following their entry into NATO, Russia would be compelled to retaliate and would endeavour to bolster its capabilities in the northwest.
