The Drug Foundation has released new data compiled by drug checking clinics from January to July this year and found that one-third of all drugs tested were either mixed with other substances or were something completely different.

The most often tested drugs were MDMA, ketamine, and methamphetamine, which were also frequently found in mixtures with antifreeze, creatine, caffeine, gelatin, ibuprofen, synthetic cathinones, benzos, and antihistamines.
Since 2020, drug testing services have been permitted in New Zealand.
