Slovakia buys 76 armored vehicles from Finland

Jaroslav Nad, the defence minister for Slovakia, said that his nation would pay Finland 447 million euros for 76 armoured vehicles.
The Slovak Defense Minister stated: We have put in place all requirements to complete this highly advantageous contract for Slovakia, stressing that the Slovak Armed Forces previously lacked armoured vehicles of this kind.

During an informal gathering of defence ministers from European Union nations on Tuesday in Prague, a club and its Finnish counterpart, Antti Kaikkonen, inked a deal.
This armoured car is a Patria AMVXP 88. The first vehicles are expected to be supplied under the contract signed in September 2023.
These vehicles will form the basis of the heavy mechanized infantry brigade, which the Slovak Defense Ministry plans to establish by 2026. .
