Huawei: We agreed with 3 Egyptian companies to use their solar energy solutions

According to a Huawei Egypt spokesperson, three Egyptian firms have committed to purchase their goods for solar energy solutions that merge electrical and digital energy technology.

Mohamed Abdel Sattar, Director of Solar Energy Business Development at Huawei’s Digital Energy Business Group, stated that contracts will be signed with the three companies to rely on their products to generate electricity from solar panels in their factories, but he refused to reveal the names of those companies before signing.

He went on to say that the company’s Fusion Solar solutions are cost-effective, risk-free, and simple to install, operate, diagnose, and repair, owing to Huawei’s newest artificial intelligence and Internet of Things technology.

Egypt is expanding its reliance on renewable energy as it prepares to host the UN climate change conference COP27 in November, according to Abdel Sattar, and the firm is in negotiations with the Egyptian government to supply solutions to suit the conference’s aims.
He said, “There are preparations with organisations in the public and commercial sectors for adopting Huawei’s technologies to assist accomplish the goals of digital energy development and carbon emissions reduction.”

Several options have been proposed to many parties and are now being finalised in anticipation of their introduction.

In the same vein, Juy Ding, CEO of Huawei Egypt’s Digital Energy Business Group, stated on the sidelines of the Solar Energy Middle East and North Africa expo in Cairo that Egypt has one of the world’s richest sources of solar energy. In preparation for the climate conference, we are collaborating with a local partner in Egypt to establish a solar farm to offer renewable energy in Sharm El-Sheikh, the host city of COP27.

As part of the efforts to develop Sharm El Sheikh into a green city, he noted that there is also collaboration with Egyptian partners to establish an electric vehicle charging station to supply electricity for electric buses in Sharm El Sheikh.
