French Prime Minister: There is no immediate alternative to Russian gas

In view of the fall in Russian gas supplies, French Prime Minister Elizabeth Born urged French enterprises to rationalise energy usage, saying that there was no quick alternative to Russian supply.
We realise that if Russia entirely cuts off gas supplies to Europe, the continent would not have enough gas to get through the winter. Bourne stated during a meeting with French businesspeople that there is no other way to compensate for the deficit.

She added that France is less susceptible than other European countries since its gas tanks would be completely filled by the end of the summer.
She said, “However, we know for certain that we will have less gas this winter than in prior years.” This winter, the only way out is to limit consumption.

There is no urgent alternative to Russian gas, according to France’s Prime Minister.
