Dortmund rules out Bellingham’s departure

Sebastian Keil, Borussia Dortmund’s director of football, has ruled out selling young English sensation Judd Bellingham during the current summer transfer window, which expires next Thursday.
Liverpool were said to be interested in 19-year-old midfielder Bellingham, but Kiel told Sky Sports on Sunday that the youngster would not go now.
I can assure you that he will remain with us, Kiel said.
There was no doubt, but there was a lot of curiosity, he remarked.

We don’t have anything to settle right now, and to be honest, the player and his family aren’t interested in relocating anyplace else this summer.
Bellingham joined Dortmund in 2020 on a deal that spans through 2025 and is a key member of the club.

Sebastian Kell expressed optimism that Bellingham would stay with the squad until 2023, but stated that Dortmund’s goal of luring great young talent included the possibility of players leaving rapidly for better clubs, like Jadon Sancho did. Erling Haaland moved to Manchester City last year.
We’re all trying to keep the guys for another year or two, Kiel added. But, in the end, our objective is to constantly grow the team.

He said, “We have to recognise that, from an economic and sports standpoint, players will wish to transfer at some time.”

Bellingham’s exit is ruled out by Dortmund.
