8 ISIS terrorists arrested in northern Turkey

In northern Turkey, Turkish security services apprehended at least eight alleged members of the terrorist organisation ISIS.
According to a security source who asked not to be identified, the security forces carried out an operation to arrest the suspected terrorists as part of an investigation launched by prosecutors in the Black Sea province of Samsun.

In searches conducted out in Samsun’s Ilkadem area, Turkish anti-terror police, intelligence and special operations teams apprehended the suspects, who included one Syrian and seven Iraqis.
During the raids at multiple homes, police also seized digital documents.
Turkey was one of the first countries to name ISIS a terrorist organisation in 2013.
Since then, the country has been targeted multiple times by the terrorist group.

At least ten suicide bombs, seven bombings, and four armed assaults have been conducted out, killing 315 people and injuring hundreds more.
To avoid such attacks, Turkey started counter-terrorism efforts both at home and abroad.

In northern Turkey, eight ISIS militants have been apprehended.
