Newspaper: Giorgia Meloni may become the first woman to hold the position of prime minister in Italy

After the sudden fall of the Mario Draghi administration last July, Italy will hold elections to form a government in September, and the attention is on Giorgia Meloni, 45, who is on her way to becoming the country’s first female prime minister.

According to the Spanish daily El Mundo, all opinion surveys for the Italian elections slated for September are in favour of the coalition of right-wing organisations led by Giorgia Meloni, with 48.2% of the vote.

Meloni planned to focus her election campaign on economic recovery, particularly after the retirement of Prime Minister Draghi, who was supposed to be a trustworthy figure for investors, and stated, “I am extremely cautious.”

According to the Italian daily El Giornale, there is a lot of excitement in Italy for the September 25 elections, and the clash between Italy’s far-right brothers led by Giorgia Meloni and the Democratic Party led by Enrico Letta, who earned around 24% of the vote.
Matteo Salvini will finish third in the league with 14.5%, followed by the 5-star movement with 11%, Forza Italia with 7%, Italy FIFA with 5.8%, and the green left with 3.7%.

Whatever their disagreements, the right-wing parties, the Brothers of Italy, the League, and Silvio Berlusconi’s Forza Italia, will run in partnership, duplicating the present election system, while disputes among the numerous left and center-left parties have divided progressive vote intentions.

According to the Italian news agency Nova, former Italian Prime Minister and leader of the center-right Forza Italia party Silvio Berlusconi has indicated that he would not run for president of the next Italian administration.
In an interview with RTL 102. 5 radio, Berlusconi remarked, “I did it about ten years ago.” He has the potential to accomplish great things.

Giorgia Meloni may become Italy’s first female prime minister, according to a newspaper.
