French Economy Minister: Families will not be affected by the increase in electricity prices

In order to protect French consumers, French Economy Minister Bruno Le Maire stated that France will keep the electricity price ceiling in place until the end of the year.
According to European Politico, Le Maire claimed in press statements that the ceiling will be lifted by the end of 2022, but that energy and gas bills would be restricted beginning next year.
The French Economy Minister assured that the increase in electricity costs will not have a negative impact on French families.

He claimed that the government has projected a 4% price increase that would persist through the end of 2022.
Energy vouchers would also be provided to the poorest families, according to Le Maire. Le Maire warned that rising energy costs could not be sustained indefinitely by the fiscal budget.
Le Maires words came as electricity prices reached an all-time high this week, owing mostly to Russia’s offensive in Ukraine.

Prices in Germany and France have shattered records, while British customers are prepared for a more than 80% increase.
Soaring European energy prices compelled the Czech president of the European Union to convene an emergency energy summit to discuss emergency remedies.

Electricity price increases would not hurt families, according to France’s Economy Minister.
