Chelsea beat Leicester with ten players

Chelsea’s Raheem Sterling scored the first two goals in their 2-1 win over Leicester City on Saturday, as Thomas Tuchel’s team survived Conor Gallagher’s early ejection from the English Premier League.
Less than 30 minutes later, Gallagher received two yellow cards, putting Chelsea in a jam.
Sterling’s second consecutive double, bought from Manchester City during the current transfer window, has given the hosts the upper hand.

A shot off the top of goaltender Danny Ward’s head reversed direction and landed in the goal in the 47th minute, followed by a cross pass from Reece James to send the ball in after 16 minutes.
Leicester narrowed the lead in the 66th minute when Harvey Barnes combined with Jimmy Vardy to shot from a difficult angle that was saved at the near post by goalkeeper Edward Mendy.

Leicester pressed for a draw, as Mendy had to save opportunities from Barnes and Vardy, both of whom hit the side netting.

Chelsea defeated Leicester despite only using eleven players.
