Barcelona will face Bayern Munich in the second round of the European Champions League on Tuesday, September 13, in one of the best group stage matchups, according to the programme released by the European Union for the game UEFA yesterday.
The German champion will start his campaign in the first continental event on September 7 at Inter Milan in Milan, where he will be placed in a third iron group alongside Czech Viktoria Plzen, prior to this anticipated meeting.
Real Madrid’s title defence will start on the sixth against Celtic in Group F, which also features Shakhtar Donetsk and Leipzig of Germany.
At the same time, Benfica of Portugal and Maccabi Haifa of Israel will square off against seasoned Argentine Angel Di Maria’s former teammates in the eighth group at the Parc des Princes stadium, where Paris Saint-Germain and its players will host Juventus of Italy.
The Catalan will play against Bayern Munich on September 13th.
