According to the source, Air France detained two pilots after they argued during a flight between Geneva and Paris last June.
He stated that the flight attendants heard the brawl shortly after takeoff and entered the cabin to see the pilots fighting with their hands.
The flight crew intervened to terminate the argument, and one of them was shifted to a different place for the rest of the journey, but the source of the argument remained unknown.
According to an airline official, what transpired was entirely unacceptable behaviour, and an inquiry into the matter has been launched.
The Civil Aviation Office also indicated that it was not alerted of the event since the flight, which landed safely in Paris, had no implications.
