Zelensky: The Russian blockade of Ukrainian ports has contributed to the deterioration of global food security

Volodymyr Zelensky, the president of Ukraine, stated that a Russian missile attack had been made against a railway in his country. He also noted that, as is typical of Russian attacks, there were casualties.

Zelensky stated that the world is depending on Ukraine’s security because when our boundaries are not breached, it will reflect favourably on the rest of the world during his statement to the Security Council during the nation’s national independence day celebration today.

The Zaporizhia plant, the largest nuclear facility in Europe, has been declared a war zone by Russia, the Ukrainian president said, highlighting the fact that this complex has been bombed and the surrounding areas are at risk of radioactive contamination.
Volodymyr Zelensky suggested that Russia should entirely leave the Zaporizhia nuclear reactor and turn it over to the International Atomic Energy Agency.

The Russian blockade on Ukrainian ports, the Ukrainian president continued, has contributed to the deterioration of global food security, which affects the entire world. He emphasised that the resumed export of Ukrainian goods to the world will help to lessen the effects of the crisis and prevent tens of millions of people from suffering from artificial hunger brought on by Russia.

Zelensky: The decline in global food security has been exacerbated by Russia’s blockade of Ukrainian ports.
