The woman with the longest hair in the world breaks her record

Mrs. Mandela has the longest hair in the world

The American Asha Mandela, who has the longest hair in the world, broke her Guinness World Records record by increasing the length of her locks to 33.5 metres.

The 60-year-old American woman expressed her pride in her hair, which reached a record length, stressing that she had not cut her hair in 40 years, until her locks reached 110 feet (33.5 meters), according to the official website of the Guinness Book of Records.

And Guinness recorded the name “Mandela” as breaking the world record for the longest hair for women in 2009, where the length of her braids at the time was only 16 meters, and the encyclopedia indicates that the American woman continues to break her records without a competitor so far.

The American woman lives in Claremont, Iowa, and says she first started growing her hair when she moved to the United States from Trinidad and Tobago more than 40 years ago, and at the time made a vow not to cut a single strand of it.

Mandela faces daily difficulties due to the size and weight of her hair, as she usually has to carry her hair in a “square” that includes ropes of cloth to prevent her strands from drooping on the ground or stressing her neck with the weight of thick hair.

However, the American woman describes the condition of her hair as a royal crown on her head, and stresses her pride in her appearance and her determination to complete her life without cutting any of her hair strands.

Perhaps also interesting in the story is that Mandela’s husband, Emmanuel Chigi, designs women’s haircuts, and the husband does not object to his wife’s behavior, but rather helps her in styling and taking care of her hair.
