On Monday, Moroccan media announced that the Royal Football Association had struck an agreement with Walid Regraki to head the Atlas Lions in the 2022 World Cup, which is set to take place approximately three months later, to follow Bosnian-French coach Khalijuz.

Interacting on the subject, sports writer and commentator Hassan Al-Basri said that the hiring of Walid Rekraki as coach of Morocco’s first national team was driven by five fundamental reasons.

Al-Basri further revealed that the fourth reason is the development of the French Rakraki, which is an extension of Waheed, a believer in the French school, as well as the simplicity of contracting with him now that his contract with Wydad has expired.
The fifth issue, according to a sports expert, is the Football Association’s aim to replicate a Moroccan model that mirrors Algerian coach Jamal Belmadi, that is, with the same characteristics; professionalism in France and experience in the national squad.
