Egypt has reached final arrangements with the International Monetary Fund on additional finance.

Egypt’s Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouly, stated that the administration had finalised negotiations with the International Monetary Fund for extra financing for Egypt.
Madbouly’s statements came during the reception of Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark, and Suha Gendy, Minister of Immigration and Youth, both of whom are attending the Third Logos Youth Forum 2022, which is presently being held under the theme Back to the Roots.

Mostafa Madbouly stated that the state provides cash assistance to 4 million families, or 16 to 20 million citizens, through the Solidarity and Dignity programme, and that one million new families were recently added to the programme, emphasising that Egyptians work as one fabric, and Egypt accommodates her children without discrimination or prejudice.

I hope your journey to Egypt will allow you to observe for yourself the vast scale of development that has been completed in New Alamein, Madbouly said the young people, stressing that five years ago, when he was in charge of the Ministry of Housing portfolio, there was not a single brick in this site.
I tell you everything so you may judge for yourself what has been accomplished in less than 5 years, he added.

Concerning Egypt’s economic situation, the Egyptian Prime Minister stated that the state has adopted the economic reform programme, and as a result, it has achieved great growth rates had it not been for the Corona crisis and the Russian-Ukrainian crisis, highlighting the work to raise education levels by stating, We establish a large number of universities for this purpose, particularly specialised universities.

Egypt has finalised further financing arrangements with the International Monetary Fund.
