Austrian Chancellor: Energy security is a top concern for the administration.

Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehmer remarked on Monday that the security of Austria’s energy supply is a high priority for the government, and that the country is on the right road as a result of measures related to natural gas storage and diversification.
Niehmer indicated in remarks that hydroelectric power plants such as those in the Griffinstein region make for a considerable share of Austria’s electrical generation.

The expert added that he inspected the power plant today, which has 9 turbines and generates thousands of gigatonnes of electricity, enough to power around 377,000 homes.
It is worth noting that Austria is one of the most notable European Union countries that supports the strategy to minimise energy generation’s dependency on Russian oil and gas.
