The first legislative response to the attack on Al-Ahly fans by Ismaili fans

The Justice Party, chaired by House Planning and Budget Committee Secretary Abdel Moneim Imam, expressed grief, discontent, and rejection of the behaviour of certain Ismaili supporters with Al-Ahly Club supporters.

The head of the Justice Party, Imam, confirmed in a statement that what a group of Ismaili club fans did when they intercepted a bus carrying Al-Ahly fans on their way to the match stadium in Alexandria, resulting in the bus’s windows being broken and some Al-Ahly fans being injured, is completely unacceptable.

The Secretary of the Parliament’s Planning and Budget Committee added today in a statement that those responsible for the riot must be held accountable immediately, so that everyone understands that there is accountability and punishment for anyone who begs himself to harm others, and to serve as an example to those who are considered.

Before the two clubs’ encounter in the General League, the bus transporting fans of Al-Ahly Club’s first football squad was attacked and assaulted by Ismaili supporters.
And the Ismaili supporters encroached on the Al-Ahly supporters bus, which was on its way to the game, on the Alexandria road heading to the Burj Al Arab stadium.
The dervishes threw bricks at the red team bus, shattering it and wounding the driver in the head.

Al-Ahly will face Ismaily this evening at the Burj Al Arab Stadium in Alexandria in the postponed round matches of the eighth week of the Egyptian Premier League.
