Newcastle and Manchester City played off a dramatic 6-6 draw.

In a dramatic English Premier League football encounter on Sunday at St. James Park, Manchester City came from two goals down to equal 3-3 with Newcastle United thanks to two consecutive goals from Erling Haaland and Bernardo Silva.
In the fifth minute, City’s Ilkay Gundogan scored by receiving a pass from Bernardo and slamming it from close range into the centre of the goal. Neither team has previously conceded a goal this season.

After receiving a cross from Alan Saint-Maximin, Newcastle’s Miguel Almiron scored the equaliser in the 28th minute. Prior to the VAR’s review, the referee initially disallowed the goal.
When Newcastle scored through Callum Wilson before the half and added a free kick nine minutes later to make it 3-1, they came dangerously close to pulling off a major shock against the defending champions.

But City came back spectacularly, with Haaland hitting the post before halving the deficit, and Bernardo equalising following Kevin De Bruyne’s assist.
The reigning champions have seven points in second position, two points behind leaders Arsenal, after controlling the ball in the final minutes but failing to take the victory.
Newcastle is sixth with five points.
