Emirates and the Greek Aegean have formed a codeshare relationship.

Emirates Airlines inked a new codeshare agreement with the Greek carrier AEGEAN today, allowing its passengers to continue travelling to eight Greek destinations via Athens using a single ticket and a similar baggage policy. Kerkyra, Chania, Irakleion, Mykonos, Thira and Rhodes, Thessaloniki, and Alexandropoulos are the eight destinations.

Under the terms of the agreement, Aegean will also place its code on Emirates flights between Dubai and Athens, giving its clients with easy flights to and from several Emirates locations in Dubai.

Beginning in October, Emirates and Aegean will expand their codeshare networks to cover eight more European regional destinations through Athens, including Bucharest (Romania), Belgrade (Serbia), and Naples (Italy), in addition to Emirates services to New York Newark via Athens and Milan. Emirates Airlines presently runs 12 flights per week to Athens utilising Boeing 777 aircraft.
